DINA KELLER is a director for theatre and opera. She graduated from the University of Music and Theatre in Munich in 2005.
In Munich she directed Die Familie Schroffentstein (H.v.Kleist, 2003), Fraeulein Julie (Chamber opera, A. Bibalo, 2004) and Blasted (S. Kane, 2005).
In 2005 her project Johanna-ver-Suche was invited to Junge-Hunde-Festival at Meininger Staatstheater. In 2006 she worked as a director at the National theatre Radu Stanca in Sibiu/Romania. The same year she directed the musical Expedition K. in Frankfurt.
In May 2006 she received a scholarship from the Berliner Theatertreffen to participate at its young directors program Internationales Forum at which time Rimini Protokoll became her mentor. Dina spent the following season assisting on Rimini Protokoll’s Karl Marx - Das Kapital. In January 2007 she concepted eXPLORATORIUM, which has performed in Frankfurt, Darmstadt, Munich, Zurich, and New York since.
The same year, she received a scholarship by Lincoln Center Theatre to participate at the Directors-Lab. After cofounding the Internationalists Directors Collective, which arised from this Lab, Dina collaborated closely with Esther Neff by developing the projects Callconnectcollect (Munich/NY 2007) and Superbia Bavaria (Munich 2008). In addition, Esther brought the eXPLORATORIUM to NY in 2009.
In 2008 Dina collaborated with Theater Affe und Kuchen to construct Der Klassikerautomat. (Invitation to 100°-Festival Berlin, Theaterspektakel Zuerich and Schloss Bellevue, Residence of the President of Germany, Berlin).
In 2009 she collaborated twice with PopUpShop, an interdisciplinary arts-collective. Their collaborative work Trashig - Très chique was invinted to the festival “Wunder der Praerie” in Mannheim. Also in 2009, she founded the company TheaterTopoï:Log in Zurich, Switzerland, and directed for this company the theatre project Next:Stop at Buehne S in Zurich. Her upcoming projects in 2010 are planned with TheaterTopoï:Log. In addition, in summer 2010 Dina will travel an “Odusseia” to New York – to attend the Odusseia-Festival of the Internationalists.
