The Internationalists were founded in 2007 at the Lincoln Center Director's Lab.

The first presentation took place at Zaragoza, Spain under the direction and translation of Beatriz Cabur. The next stop is Mexico City

The Internationalists turn 5 years old!
A party is held in New York City commemorating the event with live readings of the year's playwright contest finalists and an introduction to The Hummingbirds.

Second Annual Playwright Contest
The second playwright contest brought 165 submissions from 26 countries together. It was a hard decision, and in the end, Garret Jon Gronveld's "The Hummingbirds" took the prize.

The Virtual Dinner Party
Jake Witlen's "Virtual Dinner Party" was presented during the 100 Grad Festival at the Hebbel-am-Ufer (HAU) Theatre. It was linked live with New York at an art gallery in Williamsburg.

The Hotel Project
Presented live in New Jersey and New York, the Hotel Project makes its third presentation with new sets of writers/directors/actors.

The Fourth installation of Around the World was presented live in New York and Berlin and features interactive performances including a Virtual Dinner Party, Make Me Talk or Watch me Drink and Long Distance Affair with actors in 9 different countries

The Offices Expand!
The Internationalists officially open up a satellite company in Berlin, Germany. They become members of Art:Live, e.V.

A New York workshop with respected teacher Ira Seindenstein.

The 3rd installation of Around the World takes place in Berlin with skyped in performances in New York. It is voted by Zitty Magazine as a Top Buhne 2010

As the culmination of a year-long residency at Laguardia Performing Arts Center in Long Island City, the Internationalists present an Odyssey composed of 8 directors from 6 countries. Performances take place in rep, including a 10-hour marathon of each individual director's work.

The Internationalists host their third annual World Theatre Day in association with the International Theatre Institute (ITI) Paris.

The second presentation of the event is held LIVE in New York, Berlin, Zurich, London, Jerusalem, Palestine, Istanbul, Cyprus, and Paris. The event was broadcast live on the Internet and had viewers in 61 countries!

LPAC Performing Arts Residency
The Internationalists are awarded a year-long residency at the Laguardia Performing Arts Center. Included is a 600+ seat theatre, a 225 seat theatre, office space and technical support for the year.

Around the World
The Internationalists hosts ‘Around the World in 24 Hours’ – a festival of new plays and projects from across the globe include scripts from Mexico, Iceland, Finland, the Czech Republic, Lebanon, Iraq, Tanzania and Argentina. The live-streamed global event featured broadcasts from Berlin, Bucharest, London, Munich, Osaka and Rio.
